Obverse description Central shield bearing a rampant unicorn amid a field of mullets (stars), surmounted by a crown at the apex of the shield. The shield is set within a circular Gothic legend border rendered in uncial characters. The overall design is characteristic of late medieval Baltic ecclesiastical coinage, with the heraldic device boldly struck in high relief despite the irregular flan.
