| Reverse description | Central device consists of a cross pattée overlying an X-shaped cross saltire, forming a composite cross motif within a beaded inner circle. A small ring or annulet is placed at the centre where the crosses intersect, serving as the distinguishing mark referenced in the coin's variety name. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin script runs continuously around the inner beaded border. The flan is irregular and somewhat worn, consistent with hammered silver production of the period, and the reverse design follows the standard Riga artig type of Archbishop Johannes VI. |
