| Obverse description | Facing crowned bust of Bishop Henry II Wrangel in high relief, rendered in a stylized Gothic manner characteristic of Baltic ecclesiastical coinage of the early 15th century. The bishop's mitre or crown is prominently depicted above the face, with simplified facial features typical of hammered bracteate-influenced dies. The bust is centrally placed within a circular field, enclosed by a beaded or linear inner border. A Gothic uncial inscription surrounds the effigy reading HINRIKVS · EPV ·, abbreviating Heinricus Episcopus. The overall die workmanship is crude yet bold, consistent with regional Livonian minting practices of the period. |
