| Obverse description | Facing bust of a bishop within a beaded inner circle, depicted in a schematic medieval style with a mitre rendered as a pointed form above the face. The bishop's features are rendered in a crude but distinctive manner characteristic of Baltic ecclesiastical coinage of the early 15th century. A surrounding legend in uncial Latin characters reads TIDEEIAVS · EPS ·, identifying the issuer as Dietrich (Dietrich III Resler), Bishop. The design occupies the full field within the inner circle, with the legend distributed evenly around the periphery. |
