| Obverse description | Facing crowned episcopal bust rendered in a stylized medieval manner, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The bishop's mitre and vestments are depicted in low relief with crude but characteristic detail typical of Baltic hammered coinage. A circular Latin legend in uncial lettering surrounds the central effigy, reading TIDERICVS · EPS ·, identifying the issuing bishop Dietrich (Episcopus). The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat weak in areas, consistent with hand-hammered production of the early 15th century. |
