| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust of Ludwig Erhard, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and jacket. A small heraldic shield bearing the German Federal Eagle appears at the bust truncation. The peripheral legend curves around the full circumference of the coin, reading from lower left to lower right. The engraver's monogram is visible near the shield at the base of the bust. The deeply mirrored proof fields provide a sharp contrast to the frosted devices. |

| Additional information |
Aureus Magnus was a private German medallic issuer active in the postwar decades, producing silver pieces that occupied an awkward commercial space between commemorative medal and pseudo-coinage. The "Ludwig Erhard" issue dates to 1963, the year Erhard succeeded Adenauer as West German Chancellor — a transition that carried enormous symbolic weight given Erhard's authorship of the Wirtschaftswunder, the postwar economic recovery built on currency reform and liberalized markets.
The X# prefix in the reference confirms this as a non-circulating fantasy or exonumia piece catalogued by Krause rather than a state-sanctioned coin.
