| Obverse description | Left-facing crowned effigy of Saint Adelaide (Sancta Adelheid), Empress of the Holy Roman Empire, rendered in high relief with long flowing hair cascading over her shoulders. She wears an elaborate open crown adorned with fleur-de-lis finials and a row of pellets along the band. The engraver's monogram appears in the lower field. The circular legend reads SANCTA ADELHEID IMPERATRIX, with the fineness mark 999 at the right, separated by a small cross. |
