Reverse description The reverse bears a three-line Nagari inscription arranged horizontally across the field, reading 'Sri / Neelakan / tha', a devotional epithet invoking the deity Nilakantha (a form of Shiva). The lettering is boldly struck in relief against a plain field, consistent with the epigraphic conventions of early fifteenth-century Vijayanagara copper issues. The flan edges are irregular, with some weakness at the periphery typical of hammered production. The inscription fills the majority of the die area with no decorative border.
