Obverse description Central field dominated by an ornate tughra — the calligraphic royal cipher of Pakistan — rendered in intricate Arabic script and flanked at the base by two symmetrical olive or wheat sprays. The legend GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, with two small five-pointed stars positioned at either side of the date. The date appears in Arabic numerals below the legend and above the tughra. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner border that follows the twelve-notch scalloped coin shape.
