Reverse description A trefoil arrangement of three heraldic shields displayed in a fan formation: the upper two shields bear the arms of Cologne (diagonal cross) and Bavaria (lozengy pattern), while the lower shield bears the arms of the House of Wied. The composition is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with a circular Gothic legend in uncial characters running along the outer margin. The design is typical of late medieval German ecclesiastical coinage.
