| Obverse description | Central field features a large ornate crowned cursive 'C' monogram, the cypher of Elector Charles (Karl Ludwig or Karl II), with the date 1681 positioned above the crown flanking the monogram. The legend SVSTENTANTE DEO (meaning 'With God sustaining') runs around the periphery in Latin capital letters, separated by small decorative stops. A beaded inner border frames the central device. |
