To the left of the portrait, a machete is depicted in the field, serving as a symbolic device associated with the Macheteros movement. To the right, a small outline map of Puerto Rico appears in the lower field. A quotation attributed to RPR is inscribed to the right of the portrait: "Con tu muerte somos más grandes más libres." The name FILIBERTO OJEDA RÍOS arcs along the upper border, with his birth and death dates (Abril 26, 1933 – Septiembre 23, 2005) inscribed along the left and right rims respectively, and the denomination UN ALBIZU displayed prominently along the lower border between four decorative star devices. |
