Obverse description Central device depicts a stylized coat of arms flanked by two crossed flags of Puerto Rico, with a cross motif at the center of the shield. The outer legend reads REPÚBLICA DE PUERTO RICO along the upper arc, with the motto ¡Más fuerte que nunca! inscribed beneath. The field is divided into quadrants referencing four Puerto Rican independence organizations with their founding years (1967, 1974, 1976), including the Partido Nacionalista de Puerto Rico and EPB Macheteros, rendered in bold lettering. Additional inscriptions in the lower field note the 70th anniversary (70mo Aniversario) and the Masacre de Ponce 1937, with the date 2007 prominently displayed at the bottom. The coin is struck in proof quality with a mirrored field and frosted relief.
