| Reverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Arabic legend arranged in horizontal registers, with a cartouche containing the invocation to Muhammad positioned in the upper portion of the field and the mint name and Hijri date occupying the lower registers. The mint name Ganja (گنجه) is clearly stated, identifying the issuing authority. The date is rendered in Eastern Arabic-Indic numerals. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded (dotted) border. The irregular, roughly circular flan is consistent with the hammered technique employed for Caucasian Khanate coinage of this period. |
