| Reverse description | Central field bears a multi-line nasta'liq Arabic legend arranged in three horizontal registers, proclaiming the Shi'a kalima and affirming the sovereignty of Shah Tahmasb II. The mint name Asterābād and the regnal year are incorporated within the legend, consistent with standard Safavid abbasi typology. A border of raised pellets frames the inscription along the periphery. The die workmanship reflects the accomplished calligraphic tradition of the Safavid mint, with flowing strokes filling the available field. |
