| Obverse description | Central field bearing the Shia Kalima (profession of faith) arranged in three lines in flowing nastaliq script, naming the Prophet Muhammad and the twelve Imams of Twelver Shiism. The central inscription is enclosed within a circular marginal legend continuing the devotional text, rendered in the same nastaliq hand. The overall design is characteristic of Safavid religious coinage, with the field densely filled with pious Arabic-language text and no pictorial elements. |
