背面描述 The reverse displays a multi-line poetic Persian legend in Nastaliq script arranged in horizontal registers across the field, commemorating Shah Safi II (Sulayman I) as successor to Shah Abbas II. The central field contains the primary mint and regnal verse, with decorative rosette or pellet ornaments separating the lines of text. The Hijri date (1078 or 1079) appears in the lower register, partially visible near the coin's edge. The mint name is incorporated within the legend, following standard Safavid reverse design convention, with the entire composition enclosed within the irregular hammered flan boundary.

附加信息

Safi II's first reign was inauspicious enough that his own court astrologers blamed a faulty coronation date for a string of military setbacks and natural disasters. In 1668 he underwent a second coronation under a corrected horoscope, re-emerging as Sulayman I — meaning coins struck in his original regnal identity, as this piece would be, represent a window of roughly two years before that name effectively ceased to exist on official coinage.
