| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Persian legend in bold nasta'liq script, arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal ruled line. The upper field bears the royal devotional inscription proclaiming the issuer as a servant of Shah Safi, while the lower register records the mint name Tiflis and the AH date 1043. The striking is characteristically irregular, with the legend partially off-flan at the margins, as is typical of Safavid hammered coinage of this period. |
