| Obverse description | Central inner cartouche enclosing the mint name Rasht and the regnal year 441 (AH 1044) in Arabic numerals, rendered in bold Nasta'liq script. The cartouche is surrounded by floral and arabesque decorative elements filling the field. The flan is irregular in shape, characteristic of hammered Safavid coinage, with the legends partially off-flan due to the noted die or striking error. The overall style conforms to standard Safavid abbasi typology of the early 17th century. |
