正面描述 The obverse bears the Kalima (Islamic declaration of faith) rendered in bold Nasta'liq script, arranged in three horizontal registers separated by raised linear dividers. The upper register contains the first part of the Shahada, the central register carries the second part, and the lower register bears the declaration of Ali as the representative of Allah. A beaded border frames the lower portion of the field, characteristic of Zand-period hammered coinage. The entire design is aniconic, relying entirely on calligraphic inscription as the sole decorative and devotional element.

背面描述 The reverse displays a four-line poetic Persian legend in fluid Nasta'liq script, arranged in horizontal registers separated by raised linear dividers. The inscription is a well-known Zand dynastic verse invoking the Imam as the Master of Time (Sahib al-Zaman), asserting that the sun and moon have been transformed into gold and silver through his coinage. The mint name Shiraz and the AH regnal year 1166 appear in the lower register, providing attribution and dating. A beaded border frames the lower field, consistent with the obverse layout. The flan is irregular in outline, as is typical of hand-struck Iranian silver of this period.
