The inscription is a well-known Zand dynastic verse invoking the Imam as the Master of Time (Sahib al-Zaman), asserting that the sun and moon have been transformed into gold and silver through his coinage. The mint name Shiraz and the AH regnal year 1166 appear in the lower register, providing attribution and dating. A beaded border frames the lower field, consistent with the obverse layout. The flan is irregular in outline, as is typical of hand-struck Iranian silver of this period. |
