| Obverse description | The obverse features the royal Safavid inscription executed in bold nasta'liq calligraphy, arranged in two registers across the field and divided by a horizontal line. The upper register bears the epithet 'Slave of the lord of friendship' (بنده شاه ولایت), while the lower register carries the name of Shah Hussein together with the mint name Tiflis (ضرب تفلیس) and the AH regnal date 1130 partially visible at the base. The entire design is enclosed within a prominent inner border of raised pellets, characteristic of late Safavid hammered coinage. |
