| Reverse description | Fully epigraphic reverse bearing a multi-line nastaliq inscription arranged in three registers across the field, separated by ruled lines. The legend records the auspicious accession gathering in the royal capital of Isfahan, with the Hijri mint date 1137 inscribed in the lower register. The mint name Isfahan (اصفهان) appears prominently in the lower field, identifying the place of striking. A beaded border frames the design along the inner rim, consistent with Safavid-tradition coinage continued under the Hotak rulers. The flan is irregular in outline, typical of hand-hammered production at the Isfahan mint during this transitional period. |
