| Reverse description | The reverse bears the Shi'a declaration of faith (Kalima) and the names of the Twelve Imams rendered in bold Nasta'liq script across multiple horizontal registers. The central field presents the shahada and the acknowledgment of Ali as the Friend of God, followed by the succession of the Twelve Imams of Twelver Shi'a Islam. The inscription occupies virtually the entire flan in the characteristic Safavid devotional style, with a dotted border visible around the periphery of the coin. No figurative imagery is present, the design being entirely epigraphic in accordance with Safavid religious and numismatic convention. |
