| Obverse description | The obverse bears the Shi'a Kalima and names of the Twelve Imams inscribed in flowing Nastaliq script, arranged in horizontal registers across the field. The central legend reads the Shahada ('There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God, Ali is the Friend of God'), followed by the names of all twelve Imams in sequence. A row of raised pellets forms a decorative border along the upper rim. The flan is slightly irregular in shape, characteristic of hammered coinage, with the script boldly struck and deeply engraved throughout the field. |
