| Additional information |
The Mutawakkilite Kingdom operated in near-total economic isolation through most of Imam Yahya's reign, and small fractional bronzes like this one were struck at the Sana'a mint under conditions that were, by any industrial measure, primitive. Dies were cut locally, accounting for the significant variation in strike quality across the type. The long production window — over two decades — reflects not continuous minting but sporadic issues as need arose, with no reliable annual records surviving.
