| 背面描述 | Central oval cartouche containing the Shahada (Islamic declaration of faith) in bold Arabic calligraphy: 'لا إله إلا الله' (There is no god but God). Below the cartouche, the AH mint date ١٣٧٦ is inscribed. The cartouche is enclosed within a crescent-shaped border. Surrounding the central device, a circular legend in Arabic identifies the mint as Sana'a ('ضرب بصنعا') and gives the denomination 'ثمن عشر' (one-eighth of a tenth, i.e. 1/80 riyal), with the word 'سنة' (year) also present. Eight six-pointed stars are evenly distributed around the outer border of the coin, a characteristic feature of this series. |

North Yemen's aluminium fractional issues of this period were struck in response to chronic shortages of the small bronze and billon coins that had circulated under the Mutawakkilite Kingdom for decades. The Sana'a mint mark — rare on Yemeni issues — distinguishes this variety from the otherwise identical Y#11, which lacks it.
