| Opis rewersu | Full-length frontal figure of Saint Rupert of Salzburg, patron saint of the see, seated on a throne in pontifical vestments including a mitre and cope, holding a crozier in his right hand and a book or salt vessel in his left. The saint is depicted with a nimbus, rendered in a mannered late Renaissance style characteristic of Salzburg coinage of the period. The encircling Latin legend SANCTVS RVDBERTVS EPS SALZBVR identifies the figure as Saint Rupert, Bishop of Salzburg, all contained within a beaded border on the square klippe flan. |
