| Obverse description | Square klippe flan with clipped corners bearing a crowned oval shield at center, the escutcheon charged with the arms of Braunau — a diagonal bend or bar dividing a hatched field — flanked on either side by stylized palm or laurel branches. A crown surmounts the shield at the top. The date 17-43 is divided across the upper field, with the legend BRAVNAV to the left and L:F:H:Z:S: to the right, reading around the periphery. The inscription 9. MAY. appears in the lower field below the shield, commemorating the date of the siege. The design is struck in a bold, utilitarian emergency style characteristic of siege coinage. |

| Reverse description | Plain, unadorned square klippe flan with clipped corners and a completely blank field, exhibiting no design, legend, or device of any kind. The flat surface shows the raw silver planchet as cut and prepared under siege conditions, consistent with the emergency manufacture of this issue. Minor surface marks and die flow lines are visible across the field. |
