Obverse description Central field displays the elaborately quartered oval coat of arms of Archbishop-Elector Maximilian Frederick of Königsegg-Rothenfels, incorporating the heraldic arms of the Archbishopric of Cologne and his personal family quarterings, surmounted by an electoral princely crown topped with a cross. Two supporting elements flank the shield on either side. The circular Latin legend, reading from the lower left, surrounds the entire armorial composition, with the engraver's initials E·G· appearing in the lower exergue below the shield.
