Obverse description Central crowned and mantled coat of arms featuring the rampant Hessian lion on a shielded escutcheon, draped with an elaborate mantle tied at the upper corners. The shield is surmounted by an ornate electoral crown, with the mantle falling symmetrically to either side. The milled border frames the design with a fine reeded edge. No peripheral legend appears on the obverse; the heraldic composition fills the field entirely.
