| Opis awersu | Central field displays the Saxon electoral sword arms — two crossed swords — set within an ornate cartouche with scrollwork surround, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The peripheral legend in Latin reads the titulature of Elector Christian II with reference to his brothers, running clockwise around the coin. The hammered flan exhibits characteristic irregular edges typical of early seventeenth-century Saxon coinage. The design is rendered in a late Renaissance style consistent with Dresden mint production of the period. |
