Obverse description Three conjoined oval cartouches arranged in trefoil formation, each containing a heraldic shield: the upper cartouche bears the imperial eagle of Nuremberg, the lower-left displays an eagle, and the lower-right shows the Bavarian lozengy arms. The date is divided and placed at either side of the upper cartouche within the field. A circular Latin legend surrounds the entire composition along the outer border.
