| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing bust of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian II, beardless and crowned, rendered in the highly schematic late antique style typical of early papal silver coinage. The effigy is depicted frontally with large stylized eyes, a flat crown visible above the head, and drapery indicated by incised lines below the neck. The flan is irregular and the relief low, consistent with hammered silver of the period. No legend is present on this side. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field bears the Rome cross monogram composed of intersecting letters forming a cruciform design, with the initial S of Pope Sergius I placed prominently in the upper left quarter of the monogram. The design is enclosed within a plain oval border or incuse oval outline. The letters R, O, M, A are distributed around the monogram, referencing the city of Rome as the issuing mint. The die work is crude but legible, characteristic of the Roman papal mint of the late 7th century. |
