| Beschrijving voorzijde | Struck in the name of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II, the obverse features a stylised Persian-script legend in the field, characteristic of the feudatory coinage of Gwalior. The design is divided by a vertical line, with the left portion displaying a group of raised pellets above a crescent motif, and the right portion bearing a vertical stroke or regnal symbol. The flan is irregular, with a slightly lobate edge typical of hand-struck Indian princely coinage of this period.
