| Obverse description | The entire field is occupied by a multi-line Latin commemorative inscription in raised letters arranged in horizontal rows across the coin's face, recording the marriage of Maria Eleonora to King Gustav II Adolf and her coronation as Queen of Sweden on 27 November 1620 in Stockholm. The text reads across nine lines within a beaded inner border that follows the irregular flan. A small ornamental rosette or flower device appears at the base of the inscription, beneath the date. The lettering is bold and characteristic of early seventeenth-century Swedish hammered coinage, with the coin's entire surface serving as the inscription field rather than bearing a figural design. |
