The 1869 pattern series, of which this piece is part, was never adopted for circulation — the republic lacked both the minting infrastructure and the political stability to commit to a new alloy at the time. KM#Pn6 is among the scarcer entries in the Honduran pattern sequence, with surviving examples traceable almost entirely to collector acquisition rather than institutional holdings.
