正面描述	Mexican republican eagle displayed at center, perched upon a cactus plant rising from a rocky outcrop, with a serpent clutched in its beak and wings spread wide in heraldic fashion. An olive branch and laurel branch flank the eagle at lower left and right respectively. The circular legend REPUBLICA MEXICANA arcs around the upper periphery in incuse Latin script. The overall design follows the standard Mexican national arms convention of the early republican period.
