Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, the early Peruvian republican arms are depicted: three mountains rising from a coastal landscape, surmounted at upper right by a radiant sun with alternating straight and wavy rays. At lower right, a llama stands in the field, and at upper left, a cornucopia is visible. The entire design is enclosed by a rope-like border and an outer milled rim.
