背面描述 The reverse is entirely plain, presenting a smooth, unadorned gold field with no design, legend, or device of any kind. The surface shows the characteristic texture of a hammered or lightly milled blank, with no inscriptions or emblems. This uniface-style reverse is typical of small-denomination gold fractions struck at the Breslau Mint during this period.

附加信息

Joseph I inherited Silesia as part of the Habsburg patrimonial lands and ruled it as King of Bohemia, but his reign coincided almost exactly with the War of the Spanish Succession, which drained imperial finances severely enough that fractional gold denominations like this eighth-ducat served a genuine transactional need rather than a ceremonial one. The Breslau mint was one of the few Habsburg facilities consistently producing gold through these years.

At under half a gram, these pieces were struck on tiny planchets that frequently show weak or off-center impressions — not a production anomaly but an inherent challenge of the format at this scale.
