Reverse description Hammered silver flan of irregular round form with a multi-line Arabic legend in bold Thuluth script arranged in three horizontal registers separated by ruled lines. The uppermost register features a decorative crescent-and-dot ornament crowning the field. The legend reads 'Struck in Algeria' followed by the AH mint year numerals in the lower register. A beaded border encircles the entire design, consistent with Ottoman Algerian provincial hammered coinage of the late 18th century.
