| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Emperor Haile Selassie I in profile, wearing an ornate imperial crown adorned with a cross at the apex and traditional Ethiopian regalia, including an elaborately embroidered ceremonial robe with a pectoral cross visible at the chest. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail.
