Obverse description Central field displays a heraldic device, likely the arms or emblem associated with the city of Zutphen, rendered in low relief characteristic of late medieval hammered billon coinage. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A Gothic uncial legend surrounds the central device, reading MO NO ZVTPHAN (New Money of Zutphen). The flan is irregular in shape with noticeable surface porosity and darkened patina consistent with the billon alloy and age of the piece. Strike quality is typical of late 15th-century municipal coinage, with some weakness at the margins.
