| 表面の説明 | Draped bust of Duke Ernest Frederick III Charles facing left, wearing a curled wig and armored shoulder with lace cravat, rendered in high relief in the Baroque manner. The effigy occupies the central field with considerable depth of modelling. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait reading ERN.FRID.CAR.D.G.DVX.SAXON., abbreviating the duke's name and titles. The legend is separated from the reeded rim by a narrow border. The overall composition is characteristic of mid-18th-century German princely coinage. |

| 裏面の説明 | The Saxon coat of arms — a barry of ten or and sable with a crancelin in bend — displayed on an ornate Baroque shield surmounted by a ducal crown. The shield is flanked on either side by military trophies comprising crossed flags, cannon, drums, and other martial implements, arranged symmetrically in the Baroque style. The circular legend VI.EINEN REICHS THALER. arcs around the upper portion of the field, indicating the denomination of one-sixth of a Reichsthaler. The date 1759 appears in the lower exergual area beneath the shield. |
