Obverse description Draped bust of Bishop Charles II of Liechtenstein facing right, set within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend divided by the effigy. A small circular frame below the bust contains the fractional denomination '1/6', denoting the coin's value as one-sixth of a ducat. The portrait is rendered in the vigorous Baroque style characteristic of mid-seventeenth-century Central European coinage.

Additional information

Charles II of Liechtenstein held the bishopric of Olomouc from 1664 until his death in 1695, wielding authority over one of the wealthiest ecclesiastical territories in Moravia. The fractional ducat denominations he struck are among the smallest gold coins produced in the Bohemian lands during the seventeenth century, minted in quantities that were almost certainly limited — likely intended for presentation purposes or court distribution rather than ordinary commerce. Fr#82 is rarely encountered, and examples tend to surface only in Central European specialist sales.
