Obverse description The obverse is divided into two panels: the left panel presents a stone-carved heraldic vignette of a crowned lion coat of arms set against a brick wall, with a Latin inscription on a tablet below reading 'LAUS DEO OPTIMO MAX / MO LANDES BONA / CAUSA TRIUMPHAT', and a further inscription referencing the Westturm of 1597; the right panel carries the place name 'Nordseebad Wangeroog' in bold Gothic blackletter at top, below which the denomination '1,50 Mark' appears in large script above a polychrome coastal panorama of the island with seagulls in flight and a church steeple visible on the horizon. A caption below the vignette references the old village of Wangeroog, and the payment obligation text in German Gothic script runs along the lower portion, with the printer's credit 'Druck von Gerhard Stalling Oldenburg' at the foot.

Reverse description The reverse is arranged as a triptych of three vertical vignettes, each rendered in coloured lithography: the left panel shows a square medieval watchtower with a flagpole; the central and dominant panel presents the tall round brick lighthouse of Wangeroog rising above a cluster of island buildings beneath a dramatic cloudy sky; and the right panel depicts an open steel lattice observation tower with an external staircase. The denomination '1,50 M' appears in large bold Gothic numerals in the upper corners flanking the side panels, and a wide banner at the foot bears the legend 'Nordseebad Wangeroog' in ornate Gothic blackletter on a gold ground.
