| Obverse description | Central field depicts two prominent landmarks of Fréjus side by side: at left, a medieval cylindrical tower with crenellated parapet, and at right, a Roman-era sailing vessel rendered in relief, evoking the ancient naval port of Forum Julii Classica. A small six-pointed star ornament appears in the upper field between the two motifs. The circumferential legend reads FORVM JVLII above and PACENSIS ET CLASSICA below, both in raised Latin capital letters, referencing the Roman name and dual civic identity of the city. The entire design is bordered by a continuous raised bead ring. |
