Gibraltar's wrestling series of the early 1990s drew on the island's annual September folklore festival, which preserved a distinctive style of Andalusian folk wrestling kept alive largely through that single annual event. The platinum strikes were produced in extremely limited numbers as collector pieces alongside the more accessible gold and silver versions in the same series.
