Aanvullende informatie

Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit stories entered the public domain in the UK in 1994, exactly 70 years after her death in 1943 — a timing Gibraltar's treasury moved on quickly, issuing a cluster of commemorative pieces that year before competing mints could establish their own programs. The Gibraltar Government had been an aggressive player in the commemorative gold market through the early 1990s, producing collector-targeted issues at a pace that outstripped most British dependencies of comparable size.

KM#441 is one of several Peter Rabbit issues from this series; die alignment and field quality vary noticeably across the run.
