Issued to mark the centenary of Beatrix Potter's creation of Peter Rabbit, first sketched in a picture letter to a sick child in 1893. Gibraltar has long used its Crown series as a vehicle for commemorative gold issues aimed squarely at the collector market, with no meaningful circulation history for any piece in the series.
