| Obverse description | Central field displays the elaborate quartered arms of Saxony-Poland, featuring the Saxon barry-and-paly escutcheon surmounted by a royal crown with elaborate baroque scrollwork and acanthus mantling surrounding the shield. Subsidiary charges include the Lithuanian Pahonia horseman at lower left and a Prussian-style eagle at lower right, with lion supporters atop the lateral cartouche scrolls. The mint-master's initials F·W·F appear in the lower exergue, separated by a small ornament. |

| Reverse description | The reverse bears a bold, plain inscription filling the entire field arranged in four lines, giving the denomination as '48 / EINEN / THALER' with the date '1756' in the lower line, all in large serif capital letters within a milled border. The design is wholly typographic with no figural elements, the numerals and lettering occupying virtually the entire flan in a characteristic Saxon small-denomination format. |
